What is a LOMA Society?
Earning the FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute) and FFSI (Fellow, Financial Services Institute) gives you a broader view of the
insurance and financial services industry. But with the business environment changing so rapidly,
how can you keep up? How can you be sure that your knowledge of industry
issues is current? The Greater Hartford/Springfield LOMA Society is the answer to these
questions and more!
More than 70,000 people have earned the FLMI designation, and many more are pursuing the FFSI or the numerous Associate designations offered by LOMA –
people like you who realize that knowledge is increasingly important in
today’s changing business environment. LOMA Societies provide Society members, LOMA students, and other financial services professionals with opportunities for continuing education and professional development.
What Can LOMA Society Membership Do For You?
Being
involved in a professional organization will help you stay abreast of the
issues that affect your industry – and you. LOMA Societies are the
professional associations for those who have earned or are earning the FLMI or FFSI designations –
forums for insurance and financial services professionals like you.
A LOMA Society can point you in the direction of career growth by:
- Keeping you informed about industry issues with expert speakers, informative seminars, and other continuing education activities;
- Giving you valuable contacts with other insurance and financial services professionals;
- Developing your leadership skills as a Society officer or committee member;
- Offering you opportunities to assist others by acting as a mentor for LOMA students and by participating in community service projects.
